Born in Duri, Riau, on 27 October 1994, Oktaviyani is an Indonesian contemporary painter based in Yogyakarta. Since 2011 she has exhibited extensively across Indonesia and internationally — including a solo exhibition, "MATAYANI," at Ruang Dalam ArtHouse (2023), and group exhibitions in Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Padang, as well as Seoul, Busan, Changwon, and Gwangju in South Korea.

“I paint to find the moments between moments — the pause before a word is spoken, the light before it shifts. Painting is an act of sustained attention.”
